In response to concerns raised at a public meeting organised by parents of Waseley High, the school has announced that they will be holding a further parent consultation meeting at the school on 3rd July at 7.00pm. This will be followed by a governors’ meeting on 11th July, which they say will be the last opportunity for them to discuss academy conversion.
The public meeting, which was organised by parent Cormac Loane, took place on 20th June at Beacon Church Centre. The meeting was well attended and ended with parents voting overwhelmingly in favour of governors organising a parent ballot. In a futher vote parents voted overwhelmingly against academy conversion.
